An interesting illustration project for Bredtvet Kompetansesenter is finished! We made the cover and main illustrations including all the technical figures. ”Talevansker” is best translated into ”speech impediments” and the book is a medical and technical book on treatment of speech impediments common for children born with cleft lip or palate.

The theme for the front page comes from the phonetic alphabet. A simple tree with fruits made of the different sounds that can be difficult for the children to pronounce. The same symbols are used within the book to bookmark important points within the text. The massive font suitcase Doulous Sil is used on the cover and throughout the book whenever we needed phonetic lettering.
