Polarwheels Logo

We must admit that we were a bit inspired by the Solaris poster from the movie of ´72 directed by Andrei Tarkovsky, when we started working on this logo. The design is built up by a half circle and a rectangle with curves forming the «P» for Polarwheels. 80% cyan was chosen for «polar coolness» and the P makes a perfect fit in the centrecup, in the rims they are producing.
Riding Romance 1 2 3 - logo

Choreographer Henriette Pedersens new performance is called Riding Romance 1 2 3. The trilogy takes as its starting-point the in some of the iconic works from the romantic period: 1. The Ballet Swan Lake, 2. Caspar David Friedrich´s painting «Der Wanderer Über den Nebelmeer» and 3. The fairytale of Red Riding Hood. Henriette being a true romantic and with her slight tendency to overdo things, we look forward to seeing her take on this fascinating subject. She decided to make a logo rather than regular posters and the solution became a red version of the black cloud logo we made for her in 2009. Riding Romance 1 2 3 is first showing in February 2012 at Black Box theatre and who are also co-producers together with Galleri Maria Veie. Read More...
Austad Elektro AS Logo

We created this logo for Austad Elektro AS with a bolt of lightning through their initials and combining it with our own font Tordal College. The equally bold weight on the strokes in black and white, create an interesting optical push-pull-effect, helping the lightning to flash. The company got the design on their vans, outdoor signs, t-shirts, sweaters, jackets, business cards, envelopes ++ and we are also making their website which is under construction: www.austadelektro.no.

Toke Brygge (Toke Quay) is a cultural development project aiming to better the conditions and rediscover the stories and centre of Drangedal in Telemark County. We made the logo and have also worked as contributors on how to best make the change needed, to bring Drangedal into an attractive place to live, work, visit and enjoy! Springer Kulturstudio and Feste Landskapsarkitekter are our collaborators on this project for Drangedal Kommune. Toke Brygge homepage. Toke Brygge on Facebook
New logo

We have been busy for the last couple of months. Moved from Oslo and our friends to Tordal into a new home, new kindergarden, new office and an uncharted territory as far as customer base is concerned.
We have been stepping up the design of our first superlimitededition designertoys series (more news soon). Have made six skateboard deck designs and put them out on our new web-store. Rebuilt our website, thank god for Rapidweaver. Made a new monospace font for our new logo, printed 1000 "I moose Tordal" bumperstickers + 2000 businesscards. The bumperstickers and businesscards will be mailed to all the potential design-hungry businesses in a 100 km circle (sounds more than it actually is) to let them know a design company has landed in these here woods....

A logo for Bygdedata - a company specializing in computer network sollutions.
The client wanted a design influenced by the surrounding forest industry. The design uses the same proportions as the standard norwegian road sign but the internal circle is made into a saw-blade and the letter B and D from bygdedata is turned turned 90 degrees to make a smiling face. ”bygdedata is written beneath the sign in our Blockschrift font.
Napp Design Logo
05/03/10 19:30 Filed in: Design

A new logo design for a new customer! This time the logo is for Napp Design, a product design company with a focus on packaging and the norwegian seafood business. The logo is a closed font with lots of space for texture. It is designed to be an interactive logo so that the designers at Napp can play with textures and colours.
Lauvstad Charolais logo
23/11/09 12:01 Filed in: Design

Our logo design for Lauvstad Charolais is ready! We had an exciting but trying photoshoot with bull number 1009. Despite his appearance he is a docile creature mostly interested in beeing scratched behind his ears, not to keen on keeping a pose though. Our trusted Leica died and the borrowed camera had a four-second shutter-delay which was a bit sucky when trying to take a good picture of a 1000kg bull. Read More...
Oaza Logo
06/05/09 09:55 Filed in: Design

A quick design for Oaza, the new skin and foot care boutique/therapeut in Drangedal.
This logo plays upon the name of the business, an oasis - a place for water, moisture, refreshment and rest. We would like to make some interesting folders and flyers with this logo - for instance a combination of brown paper with the logo embossed and printed in high-gloss. The oasis/desert-symbolism is easy to understand and its fun for us to play with the design.
Drangedal Bygdetun Logo
16/04/09 13:16 Filed in: Design

We have just finished the work on Drangedal Township Museums new logo!
We opted for a simple design and a simple font. The main body of the logo is an ax used to punch out a symbol on the timber before floating it down to the timber mill. The symbol shows who owns or has bought the timber. The township museum keeps a large collection of these beautiful handmade axes.
Henriette Pedersen logo

The logo we made for Henriette Pedersen. A spinning cloud with animals, people and a lamp. The logo incorporates elements from different previous shows with the addition of a pinch of burlesque. We want to make this into a water-transfer-tattoo next...
New logo and name!
22/11/10 22:24 Filed in: News

Switching between art and design can be a challenge. Not so much for us; but for art museums and the general art community, the ”Design” bit in our name had a very negative effect in many ways when dealing with the purists.
Our new name is a bit more ambivalent and can point to whichever direction we please. 3573 is the area code for Tordal and when we found the old moonshine can in our old barn, the pieces sort of clicked together. We like the idea that the canister can be whatever we like. It can contain art, design, toys and all - and the main reason for us not updating our website lately is that we are working on a new design to reflect the new concept.
Hopefully we’ll launch the new site in january, stay posted!
Telejuss logo
03/11/10 22:23 Filed in: Design

This is our latest logo for Telejuss. It’s a pretty straightforward design with the classic paragraph signage. The paragraph is a modified Baskerville with oak-leaves. And the name underneath ”Telejuss” is written in Garamond.
PAPP logo

We are moving forward with the design of PAPP and it looks as if we will be ready too launch our first superlimitededition designertoys this fall. The 3D-design is almost finished and the materials lie ready for lasercutting.
We designed a new font for PAPP for the logo (above), we are very pleased with the logo and have allready designed three skate decks with the logo and some PAPP Mac OS X icons. The decks and icons will be made available on the evening of our launch. Watch out for more news in the near future!
