The first production run of the PAPP designertoy is on! The parts have been emailed over to Supermodeller for lasercutting. Hopefully we will have the first parts here in Tordal by the end of the week.
Prototype with eyemounted sensors

This is a new prototype of Papp where we have moved the sensors up to the eyes instead of the original position near the floor. Pros at this time include ability to point sensors left & right, less chance of picking up unwanted reflexes from higly polished floors, and a generally more interesting real-life function of the eyes. Cons at the moment is that the eyelid needs to be opened 135 degrees instead of 90 degrees which will mean that we must make a new design for the eyelid actuator.
