Papp has been selected as one of the few projects to go on tour on the highschools of Telemark as a part of Kulturskatten, a govermentfunded cultural education program for school children. Some 6500 students will meet Papp and see our lecture on designer toys through the next autumn, winter and spring semesters!
We’re therefore filling up this monster bulletproof(ish) Pelicase with three Papp 1.0 robots, a bundle of beautiful Papp skins, a Macbbok with a funky Keynote presentation and loads of batteries!

First PAPP prototype!

The first lasercut acrylic parts for PAPP arrived from Supermodeller this week! The top picture shows the taped-together-test-assembly. The bottom picture shows a closeup of the front.
The laser took away 0,15mm and we have adjusted the 3D-drawing to compensate for the loss of material. The final prototype (if everything fits - knock on wood) will be delivered by the end of next week, rrrrrr..... The launch is getting nearer - watch out for more news in the near future!

A quickie mod on the eBoy / Kidrobot peecol design of the sunburnt german asphalt layer Bernd. This one is going on top of our office espresso machine. Extra Scharf, Knoblauch (extra hot, garlic sause) was our standard line at four o’clock in the morning in the various Berlin Kebab outlets. Superknüller is a german word meaning something like ”super offer” and which sounds slightly naughty in norwegian. Kaffeemaschine is selfexplanatory.

The first production run of the PAPP designertoy is on! The parts have been sent over to Supermodeller for lasercutting. Hopefully we will have the first parts here in Tordal by the end of the week.

We are moving forward with the design of PAPP and it looks as if we will be ready too launch our first superlimitededition designertoys this fall. The 3D-design is almost finished and the materials lie ready for lasercutting.
We designed a new font for PAPP for the logo (above), we are very pleased with the logo and have allready designed three skate decks with the logo and some PAPP Mac OS X icons. The decks and icons will be made available on the evening of our launch. Watch out for more news in the near future!
A perfect day
This little robot was made in 2001for an exhibition at Trans Art, a small gallery in Trondheim. Most of the time it hides underneath its cardboardbox. At intervals it lifts the box and starts running in search for a new place to hide. Read More...
Ghost

Ghost is designed to sabotage telesales. When the unwanted call comes, place the handset into the arms of Ghost and let Ghost talk with the telesales-operator. Ghost listens to the telephone line, when the operator is quiet for more than a couple of seconds it plays an audio file from its library.
