A new catalog for Telemark Art Center, this time for Jorunn Steffensen’s show Abstract Forms. Jorunn has a strong affinity towards geometric abstraction and we wanted to use shapes, typography and a color palette that corresponded with her paintings. The design process started with the typography this time and we made a typeface based on Jorunn’s signature haircut, a classic black & short bob. Fresh from the print press: the catalog we have designed for Telemark Art Centers “Migrating Societies”. We wanted to play with the style of the old scentific treaties, printed on Octavos, Quartos and the formats back in the days. We have used old-style Garamond typeface, wide margins, and centered text throughout the book. The illustration on the cover is a pattern of thin, small, arrows pointing down. Dino at Bomuldsfabriken
Dino has been a work in progress for a year now. First shown at Telemark Kunstsenter in its raw aluminum state, the overgrown oil truck has now been finished with the details and the rusted surface we had planned.
